Maintenance crew foreman
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain properties
- Provide guidance and training for your crew with a strong emphasis on safety
- Work closely with Sun State leadership on your crew schedule and route
- Mow and fertilize turf using various equipment 
- Edge turf at curbs and walkways
- Blow trimmings, leaves, and debris
- Trim trees and shrubs using various equipment and tools
- Remove weeds 
- Keep properties free from trash and debris 
- Monitor irrigation systems 
- Conduct property inspections
Install plants & flowers
- Prep soil
- Install material properly
- Water material in accordance with company policy and horticulture best practices
Vehicle and equipment operations
- Oversee daily equipment safely onto trucks/trailers
- Safely operate various equipment and vehicles including trucks with trailers, mowers, edgers, blowers, and gas trimmers 
- Maintain and correctly use issued personal protective equipment 
MUST-HAVES
- Valid AZ drivers license 
- Minimum 1 Year of professional landscape experience 
- Good knowledge of irrigation systems and timers 
- Ability to read maps, charts, and reports 
IT HELPS TO HAVE
- Bil-lingual English/Spanish 
- Ability to do material take-offs 
- Supervisor experience 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Lift and carry up to 80 lbs 
- Bend and kneel up to 12 hours or more a day 
- Walk up to 10 miles a day, sometimes uphill and on uneven terrain, often while carrying, pushing, or pulling equipment, materials, or debris 
- Safely operate hand and power equipment, including but not limited to manual and powered sawing and cutting equipment 
- Work hours may exceed 12 hours per day 
- Work in extreme heat 
- Noise level may be loud at times and use of ear plugs may be required
