Mike Schneider Building on his decades of experience in the landscaping business, Mike drives Sun State’s vision, strategy, and growth. Mike knows the importance of keeping his word and delivering top-notch service to customers every time – qualities that have helped earn him a reputation as a pioneer in the commercial landscape industry. As a child, Mike attended a racetrack event, where he sustained serious burn injuries as a result of an accident. Recovery from these burns was slow and caused setbacks in school. But at age 18, Mike used a portion of his settlement money to purchase a pickup truck, a John Deere tractor, and three landscaping accounts from his father’s business – accounts he still manages to this day. Since 1979, Mike has grown the company to eventually become one of the top landscape management providers in Arizona. Generosity and service are foundational parts of Mike’s life. He has volunteered at the Arizona Burn Center, served on the board of directors for Along Side Ministries, and helped build dozens of homes for families in poverty through 1MISSION. In his spare time, he enjoys restoring old dirt bikes, camping, and spending time with his nine grandchildren.
