Sun State Landscape Management has a rich, three-generation history that goes back 58 years.

In 1979, Mike Schneider purchased three commercial accounts from his father, Jay, who had been in the landscaping business for over 20 years. From a young age, Mike learned what it means to be hardworking and honest, which would become the twin pillars of Mike’s business, Sun State Landscape Management.

Within five years, Mike had grown Sun State from a one-man operation with a pickup truck and a John Deere tractor to gross $1 million in annual revenue for the first time. In the years since then, the company has continued to expand, becoming a leader in the Phoenix market for industrial and Class A properties.

In 2017, Sun State merged with Trinity Landscape – which was co-owned by Vincent Clark, and Mike’s son, Jason – to become one the largest commercial landscape companies in the state.
